Supplements

I use to think supplements were just a money making scheme, until I started eliminating wheat, gluten, dairy etc from my diet and started experiencing extreme fatigue and headaches. These are two things that I never really had a problem with before. That is when I discovered supplements are wonderful and a necessity in my life. There are four supplements that are a must.

1. Calcium: it is hard to get enough just from diet when eliminating dairy.
2. Magnesium: You need to take half the amount of magnesium as calcium
3. Multi vitamin: Just to ensure you get everything you need daily. A lot of vitamins would cause me to vomit, but the Whole Foods brand is allergy free. It is the only one I have found tolerable.
4. B complex: Most B vitamins are found in breads and cereals so this one is extremely important for gluten and wheat free people. This will help immensely with your energy levels.

Other supplements I take on a daily basis are artichoke extract to help with the liver and gallbladder (digestion), vitamin C, and zinc. Vitamin C and zinc both help to support the adrenal glands, as well as a healthy immune system.

More to come on supplements.

A good website to check out is www.enzymedica.com
Some of these products are good when you are just starting out. Also, good digestion information.
