Dream It. Believe It. Live It.

It has been quite awhile since my last blog post, but I was recently inspired by a friend to start blogging again. My intention is to blog at least a few times a month over the next year. Check back often and help hold me accountable!

Last week I went back home to Indiana to spend a week with family and friends. The time at home allowed me to think about my future goals and desires. I took the opportunity to dream about my future and envision what I want it to look like, personally and professionally. On a personal level, I want to start a family (I know a lot of you might be shocked!) and take a wine enthusiast class (before being pregnant) and professionally, I want to complete my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) to allow me to create a job back in wellness, as well as finish a 200 Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) training. I know all of this cannot happen at once, nor do I want it to, but dreaming about it is the first step of making it happen.

Believe it. Once I dream and really imagine what my future looks like, the next step is believing it can happen. I believe in myself and the ability to create the life I desire. I believe it is possible and use daily affirmations to reinforce it can happen. I believe if I truly want something to happen, then it will. It might not happen exactly as I have planned, but sometimes it is even better. I have to trust in the process and just believe.

Live it. During the journey of achieving my goals, I live and breathe them. Everything I do somehow relates back to my goals, even the small things. I somehow tie everything together so it is a constant reminder to me of what I want to achieve. Then one day, I truly live it. My dreams come true and I enjoy. Again, sometimes the dreams I have for myself may take a different path, but if I trust the process of life, then they are always better. Even set backs or things I perceive as "bad" at the time, can be a gift in the end.

How do I relate this back to health? The same way I do with any other goal. I first envision or dream about the body or health state I desire. What does it look like? What does it feel like? Then I believe I can have it and trust the journey towards better health. Once that happens, I enjoy it and love living a healthy, happy life. What is your dream?
